Lena and Youssef celebrated their marriage in style. A modern take on the rustic with white, foliage and burgundy accents. The day was all about the beauty and strength of love and family. With an uber romantic first dance, a party envy dad and daughter performance and Lena behind the mic serenading her guests with a beautiful song, their wedding day was one to remember.

Lena, a modest bride, came to us with a creative challenge; to fully cover a dress that had thin straps and a low neckline. She initially chose the dress for its stunning fabric, embroidery and threading. After accepting the challenge and our promise to give her the dress of her creams, our Alterations Atelier went to work. First we had to undo the entire top of the gown and restitch the lining with the sleeves. Then we raised the neckline, tricky yes successful, using delicate techniques the bodice looked like it has been designed that way. We gained Lena’s trust by inviting her to attend the key phases in the alterations process, one step at a time. After nailing the sleeves alterations, we then moved onto lace work, creating patterns that would show nicely on the dress, then we worked on beading and re-beading the dress. The last step was tailoring a beautiful hijab and her look was complete!
